Portfolio Charts

XS Portfolio has extensive graphical charting features to provide you with all the crucial information required to make that vital decision.

The Portfolio charting screen is used to graphically view historical data and can display Line, Bar, Candlestick and Line/Bar charts and even overlay one stock on another.
Note: If the data required to plot the chart is not available then a connection to the Internet will be opened, however this data will be stored on your device for future charts.

To display a chart :
1.
Select from the portfolio list the desired portfolio.
2. Select the desired stock from list.
3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 with the second set of lists if a second overlay stock is desired. Please note that the volume chart will not be displayed if comparing two stocks.
4. Select the chart date range and enter the desired date, this will automatically set the date from/to fields.
5. Select the from/to date fields if you need to change the dates.
6. Select the Show Volume checkbox if you wish to display or hide the volume chart.
7. Finally select the desired chart from the soft-key MENU.
Line charts
This is the most basic chart and simply shows the closing price for each day. Select the Scale Chart to toggle between whether the chart is scaled or not, if scaled you may select the price chart and use the left/right keys to scroll the chart.

Selecting the price chart also allows you to drill down, simply press Action and use the left/right keys to mark the start date, then again to mark the end date. If you found you have made a mistake simply press the up or down key to select another field.

Bar chart
The Bar chart displays the open price which is displayed to the left of the vertical lines and then the closing price which is displayed on the right. The vertical line represents the price range for that day.
As with the line chart you can drill down or scale the chart accordingly.
Candlestick chart
The Candlestick chart is similar to the bar chart except the price difference between the open and closing price is drawn in a vertical bar (green if the closing price is higher, red if the closing price is lower).
Line & bar charts
The line & bar chart is the bar chart and line chart combined.
Overlaying charts
Overlaying charts is useful when you wish to compare the performance of one stock against another. Perhaps comparing two stocks from the same sector, or two indices.

Portfolio Reports

The Portfolio reporting screen can be used to create text, HTML, pie charts and bar charts of your portfolio.
